Matted and framed display of two Matthew Brady ?daguerreotypes and period advertisements. The daguerreotype on the left is of a young mother with her baby girl the daguerreotype on the right is of a young boy. The larger ad with the graphics is from the "Illustrated News" and dates from June 11, 1853. It depicts "Brady's New Daguerreotype Saloon, New York" & measures 7 1/8" x 9 3/4". The smaller ad with the text measures 2 3/8" x 4 3/4" and is probably from the same "Illustrated News" issue. 1 |
